Training on safety at work

Life size demonstrations of electrical phenomenon encountered in electrical installations.
Sensitizing personnel to the dangers of electricity networks and electrical installations.

The goals of the day are:   in order to:
  • Understand the effects of electrical current
  • Visualize the potential consequences
  • Apply safety measures

  • Protect people
  • Protect the hardware
  • To ensure the exploitation

The training programs include:
  • Visualize the dynamic and thermal effects of a court-circuit current.
  • Damage of a live wire cable.
  • Opening of an aerial isolator on load.
  • Fall of a conductor to the ground, danger of electrocution.
  • Sliding arc on a medium voltage line.
  • Unsuited grounding of an airline.
  • Circumvention of an insulator string.
  • Tests in relation to the railway network:
    • short-circuit on section insulation
    • defective ground rod
    • track not well splinted
    • track not splinted.

Technical characteristics of the tests:
  • Low voltage (400V) current: 10 to 25 kA, 0.3 to 1 second
  • Middle voltage (5 - 15 kV) short-circuit current: 3 to 8 kA, 0.3 to 1 second

The CEFs course programs and demonstrations are addressed to:
  • Distribution companies and energy producers
  • Security engineers
  • Electrical installers
  • Professional schools
  • Railway companies
  • Electrical engineering industries
  • Operations department of the industries
  • Surveillance firms
  • Fire and emergency services
  • Civil engineering companies

Training recognized by the SSST for engineers and security safety officers

Each program (A,B,C or D) counts as 1 training unit recognized by the SSST. A certificate will be sent to you, on request, once the course carried out.
